Durch die Hochwasser-Katastrophe im Ahrtal Mitte Juli diesen Jahres wurde unser MATERNUS-Stift in Altenahr zeitweilig bis in die 2. Etage überflutet und musste evakuiert werden. Seitdem ist das Haus nicht mehr als Seniorenheim nutzbar und bleibt bis auf weiteres geschlossen.Viele Bewohner:innen aus unserer Einrichtung in Altenahr leben nun in Schwester-Einrichtungen, teilweise aber auch in anderen, nicht zum Unternehmen gehörenden Pflegeheimen. Viele Mitarbeiter:innen konnten in unserer Unternehmensgruppe weiterarbeiten. Per heute können wir keine Aussage treffen, ob und wie der Standort zukünftig weiterbetrieben werden kann.
Sollten Sie in der Eifel und Umgebung einen Pflegeheimplatz für Ihren Angehörigen suchen, verweisen wir gerne auf unser MATERNUS Seniorencentrum Am Auberg in Gerolstein, das MATERNUS Seniorencentrum Katharinenstift in Hillesheim und unser MATERNUS Seniorencentrum Köln-Rodenkirchen.
