In March of 1956 a group of missionary parents met to consider the possibility of beginning a school for their children. After considerable prayer and work, with the assistance of a mission, which had a small school for its children, and with the help of several mothers serving as helper-teachers, school opened in July 1957. In subsequent years kindergarten and grades nine through twelve have been added to the original eight. The first year enrollment of forty-nine students has been multiplied more than ten-fold with even greater increases in the number of boarding students.
