Henson?s early beginnings was in 1938 when a young school teacher from Baliuag, Bulacan decided that she would quit her humble profession and start a micro business by making toddlers? suits for boys and girls. Mrs. Paz Rodriguez Henson bought two Singer sewing machines and started to make children?s clothes in her rented apartment in Tayuman, Manila. She sold her clothes in fine clothing stores along Escolta and Avenida Rizal during the pre-war era. Her small business was soon flourishing but was abruptly interrupted by the Second World War.
