The Tacloban City Philippines Temple was announced on 3 October 2021, by President Russell M. Nelson as the eighth temple in the country. A groundbreaking ceremony was held on 18 January 2025. An open house and dedication date have not yet been announced. Plans call for a two-story building of approximately 21,400 square feet.
