The Falcon Inn Retreat has a rather unusual past. It is literally steeped in local history.
All the materials which make up the stunning building are recycled from a nearby chapel the original owner had purchased. He took the chapel apart stone by stone and transported all down to this secluded little spot.
So, just why did he choose to build his hotel here?
Because this corner of the Cynon Valley is home to some spectacular scenery. Just a short drive down a tree lined lane and you arrive at The Falcon Retreat, our hidden little gem down by the River Aman.
We're ideally situated on the edge the bustling market town of Aberdare on the borders of the Brecon Beacons National Park, with Bike Park Wales close by. The Welsh Capital, Cardiff, Swansea and the Gower coast are 40 to 45 minutes' drive away.
