Brickstone and Flint ltd are based in Burgess Hill West Sussex with 30 years of experience working on many historic buildings. We have carried out major projects for Brighton and Hove council including the re-building of the Victorian arches to the seafront and are currently working on the brick and stone façade to the Shelter Hall project. We have recently completely re-formed the loggia terrace at Hever Castle near Edenbridge Kent. This project involved removing all decorative stonework and logging each stone separately for re-use or replacement and re-laying to exact detail. The sand stone lake wall was also removed to allow for a structural wall to be formed behind and then re-laid and repaired as required to match original details. All our staff members are fully trained in the use of lime mortars and carrying out repairs to historic structures. We are also able to offer a stone cleaning, paint removal service, using an environmentally friendly super heated water system.
