Training and Courses Our programmes range from health and safety training, such as manual handling, to NVQ4 assessment in recycling. Courses can be delivered through distance learning, our own venue or on-site, as appropriate. Waste Management NVQs and Training Range of courses: We are accredited as a WAMITAB Centre, assessing a wide range of NVQ Waste Management awards, from Level 1 through to Level 4. See http://www.safetycor.co.uk/WAMITAB-awards.php Area of coverage: We cover the West Country from our base in Torpoint, but the NVQ fees will depend on several factors. These include (but are not limited to) distance travelled, agreed unit completions per visit and the number of candidates recruited per client company. Cost: We usually charge a fixed price, either in one payment (attracting a discount) or in two instalments. Prices are available on application. What is involved? Your NVQ starts with a thorough induction to help you understand the requirements. The assessment process will be explained to candidates in plain language. We will help identify the types of evidence needed to gain these awards, and include limited mentoring to help you build your knowledge. However, where there is a significant need for underpinning knowledge we can organise formal training (extra cost by separate agreement). We expect candidates to complete the NVQ 4 programmes in twelve months. Suitable candidates that can produce the required evidence, and put the time and effort into Level 4 awards, have every chance of completing well within a year. Training: Formal training can be provided to suit candidate needs, even for single candidates. For large numbers of candidates we offer favourable terms. We have several IOSH Health and Safety programmes to suit your needs, including a distance-learning course. Our one-day Waste Management Environmental Compliance course is proving to be popular. Prices are available on application. Train to Gain: Access to Train to Gain funding (for qualifying candidates) is available to qualifying candidates. Formal training is inclusive on (higher-level funding) Train to Gain programmes we assess. Funding can be granted for Level 2 (and sometimes Level 3) Waste Management NVQ awards.
