About David Bousfield "I am passionate about photography, I'm always seeing great shots even when I don't have my camera on me but rather than ramble on about how I've been interested in photography since the age of 8 I thought I would tell you a bit about me as a person. I live in Greenside, a small village in Tyne and Wear where the farm animals outnumber the humans (almost). I live with my very patient wife, Pam and our two tremendous children Michaela and Ethan. When I'm not out photographing stuff or processing the images we like to make the most of our countryside, long walks with our dogs that never stop running. I've been know to swing a golf club, generally badly and generally the people around me are in the danger zone, sorry to my father-in-law but the ball in the stomach was funny if not painful. Having the photography as a full-time job really gives me the freedom to set my own working hours (usually about 18 hours a day!) and it's a great feeling being paid to be creative. Being a part of the greatest day of so many people's lives is a great honour and a responsibility I take very seriously. I work very hard to get the best shots, as anyone who's seen me doing my thing at a wedding will attest, but I also like to have fun and enjoy the banter, I'm certainly not one of those guys you'll see shouting at the wedding guests! And I will always let the guests take their own pictures or take pictures for them" My philosophy on wedding photography is simple, Its all about the moment, a moment that can never be re-created. Documentary wedding photography is unique in its approach to a wedding, not contrived, not posed, it is however very difficult to do well. Many claim to provide this service however very few actually consistently achieve it. Documentary coverage means no intervention during the day, just observing and capturing those special moments. As such your images will reflect your personalities and the true emotions of the day, they will certainly not contain a series of posed,contrived,cliched images. The only posed images will be the group formals. The commitment to my clients is simple , to produce unique wedding images of a consistently high standard that will be treasured for a lifetime. Photography is one of the most important aspects of your wedding day because it preserves your day forever. The sound of the music, the taste of the food, the fragrance of the flowers will remain as memories that fade over time, but your photos will be vivid keepsakes that can bring it all back.
