He is especially skilful in designing buildings that harmonise with their environment and has considerable experience of gaining listed building and conservation area planning approvals. He is a sole trader working from home and therefore offers a very personal service at reasonable rates. Projects shown in the gallery were designed by Darren whilst employed by other architectural practices. PLANNING AND BUILDING REGULATIONS Darren Mayner can advise you on the feasibility of your proposed building project, suggest alternative design options, prepare CAD drawings of the site and the proposals together with a Design and Access Statement for submission for Planning and, if required, Listed Building consent. Based on the approved design drawings he can then prepare detailed drawings in conjunction with other professional consultants for submission to a Local Authority or Private Building Control Officer for approval. These will also be produced using CAD software. BUILDING CONSTRUCTION After gaining the appropriate approvals Darren Mayner can prepare detailed construction drawings for tendering and construction purposes and can visit site during construction to inspect the work on your behalf and issue certificates if required.
