The Jersey Academy of Dancing was founded in 1941 by Miss Valerie Guy. Now under the ownership of Miss Laura Reynolds, the school continues to grow. The school's mission is to encourage the love of dance, building confidence and self assurance along the way. The school teaches a number of dance genres, Tap, Modern, Ballet, Contemporary, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre, Jazz and Parent and Toddler Classes. The school regularily performs in competitions and has achieved numerous awards. The school is affiliated with the ISTD and RAD for examinations and has achieved outstanding results throughout it's history. Large scale performances by the school are undertaken every two years, this production gives every pupil a chance to dance and perform on a prestigious stage in a professional setting.
