For more than twenty-five years, he has practiced in the areas of personal injury and wrongful death, medical malpractice, nursing home abuse and neglect, products liability law, civil litigation and criminal law. Mr. Verdi received his Juris Doctor from the University Of Florida College Of Law in 1982. Shortly thereafter, he became a member of the Florida Bar Association, the New York Bar Association and the New Jersey Bar Association after passing the bar exams in those three States. Mr. Verdi is licensed to practice law in Florida, New York and New Jersey. He is also a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Verdi began his legal career representing insurance companies in medical malpractice and general negligence and personal injury matters. This experience representing insurance companies has provided him with unique insight and knowledge into the workings of insurance companies and allows him more effectively to represent the claims of injured individuals. Additionally, Mr. Verdi has defended multiple individuals in serious felony criminal matters including very complex Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organization (RICO) cases involving multiple defendants in both State and Federal Courts. In representing these individuals, Mr. Verdi developed an expertise in cases involving wire-tapping and electronic eavesdropping. Mr. Verdi also successfully attacked numerous indictments involving illegal searches and seizures by authorities. His reputation for success became such that he was retained by other attorneys as well as doctors accused of illegal conduct and even by a high-ranking Judge wrongfully accused of illegal and unethical conduct. Mr. Verdi successfully represented these individuals both in criminal matters as well as in ethical and disbarment proceedings before the Bar Association and State Supreme Court. Mr. Verdi also handled numerous other types of major felony criminal matters. After being seriously injured in an automobile accident caused by a negligent driver, Mr. Verdi was forced to undergo back surgery and a long course of therapy and rehabilitation. It was during this period that he realized that he would prefer representing other persons wrongfully injured rather than defending insurance companies. As a result, in 1989, Mr. Verdi relocated to Florida where he established his personal injury legal practice and made a commitment to provide excellent client service. His prior experience representing insurance companies in the defense of negligence matters, as well as his own experience as a victim of the negligence of another, has imbued him with a deep personal concern for his clients' well-being as well as a professional determination to achieve the best possible results for his clients.
