The prevailing winds being South Westerly straight off the Atlantic means the Isle of Arran can deservedly claim to be “Clean and Green”. It was therefore the most natural place to establish the Island Cheese Company, and so in 1991 this family business was formed.
The Cheese Shop now sits on the footprint of what was the original dairy for the Home Farm which supplied the Dukes and Duchesses of Brodick Castle for several centuries.
