The only carrier represented was Aetna (now Travelers Insurance). In 1963, the agency was purchased from Mr. Dukes by Robert A. Moore, and became Dukes-Moore Insurance. The agency was operated out of Mr. Moore?s home. In 1983, Michael Moore joined his father in the agency. The agency continued to grow and in 1986, was moved to Chestertown, Maryland the county seat of Kent County, Maryland. In 1994, Dukes-Moore Insurance became Dukes-Moore Insurance Agency, Inc. with Michael Moore serving as President. In 1999, Mr. Moore retired and Michael R. Moore became the owner of Dukes-Moore Insurance Agency, Inc. Today, the agency is comprised of 10 employees with over 75 years of insurance experience.
