Stuart Ford teaches a variety of martial arts including Shui Tao (mixed martial arts), Tai Chi, Bagua and Xingyi, in 2005 he founded the Shui Tao Martial Arts School.
Shui Tao means The Way of Water and accentuates harmonising with your opponent and breaking into their defence.
Whilst learning martial skills there is also an emphasis on health, fitness and fun as well as respect for yourself and others. Classes are for all levels including family orientated classes and kids classes.
Training includes; a good foundation of stance, movement, blocks, strikes, locks, throws, short and long weapons control. Take the A120/A1232 Turn off the A12 on to Ipswich Road and follow down to St Johns Roundabout, then turn left on to St Johns Road. Then turn right onto Parsons Heath (A137) and then left on to Bromley Road. Next take a right turn on to Hawthorn Avenue and follow this past the Academy on your left before turning left into Acacia Avenue, you will then see a left turn as the road bends to the right which will take you to the car park at the back of the school. Follow signs from here by foot to the sports centre.
