Key Real Estate Company started in Council Bluffs, Iowa, in the spring of 1966 under the direction of Bob Edwards. It was located at 728 West Broadway. The firm had one salesperson.In 1967, Key Real Estate was the leader in sales in Council Bluffs. It has been the leader ever since. The company had five salespeople by the end of 1967. The office moved to a larger, more effacement building located at 220 South Main Street in December of 1970. In 1984, Bob Edwards moved the company to 501 S. Main Street, its present location. In 1994, when Bob Edwards retired, John Edwards and Brad Knott became the office managers and owners of Key Real Estate. In 2004, Carey Jensen became the managing Broker.Many hard decisions had to be made. Courage and ability to change methods and procedures had to be demonstrated. This was essential because of the ever-changing nature of the real estate business.We attribute our past success to hard work, dedication to business and customers and our willingness to learn.
