They also have free use of a local health spa just a few minutes walk where you can use the gym or have a relax in the sauna/jacuzzi and have a swim. Internet access available. All room have freeview television with a variety of channels. Balcony house is situated on the north side of Kendal on the A6. A short walk takes you to the local Duke of Cumberland or a 10 minute stroll and you will find Kendal town centre which has much to offer. The town has many bars and rstaurants. Many people think that Kendal is a small town but are surprised when they arrive on how much it has to offer, and of course, Kendal is the gateway to the Lakes. Breakfast is included in the cost of your stay at Balcony house and consists of Tea/ Coffee/Herbal or fruit teas, orange juice, cereals, yoghurts and brown or white toast, followed by a large full English breakfast using local produce where possible and free range eggs. Linda McCartney sausage is used as the vegetarian option. Special diets can also be catered for with prior notice. Brian and Mandy are both local people and have a good knowledge of the area. Brian more so than Mandy! He gives great advice on where to walk or drive the scenic routes. Mandy knows where to shop! They hold most of the towns restaurant menu's so you can choose your meal before you go out. Free use of the Riverside hotel pool and spa can be a relaxing treat or use the gym if you have the energy. We can organise flowers or champage for a special treat.
