Welcome Aerial ABW Cabs Ltd are easily the largest taxi company in Midlothian with additional wheelchair accessible minibuses. We are also the oldest company in Midlothian having been established in 1968.
Our office is based in Dalkeith and is manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (the only genuine 24 hour service in Midlothian) We operate a state of the art computerised booking and dispatch system, with GPS satellite tracking in all our vehicles for passenger safety and improved efficiency. The computer system we use is Autocab and is fully backed up by 24 hour technical support.
All our vehicles have on board computers, which allows additional information to be added to specific bookings i.e (passenger is blind requires assistance). Each taxi also has 2-way radio and GPS tracking. We can track or contact any of our vehicles in Edinburgh and the Lothians. About Us In 2008 Aerial ABW Cabs invested in the latest software and equipment available to the taxi industry. As well as providing a better booking and dispatch system it also means we can offer our customers many more benefits such as IVR and ring back. IVR (Interactive Voice Response) This is the latest technology available to the taxi industry. IVR is a system which allows our customers to call up our office and register up to three frequently used addresses. When the customer phones our office they speak to a computer who takes the booking and dispatches a taxi straight away. Our Services Ring back is a great benefit to passengers as well as drivers. Whenever your taxi is outside, the driver presses a button on his on board computer which then gives the passenger two rings to make them aware that the taxi is outside. This service is also free and helps improve efficiency, it also benefits people who cant always watch out for taxi or people that live in flats or are in busy venues such as pubs, clubs or shops. It also saves customer waiting outside in adverse weather conditions waiting on a taxi.
We have accounts with all the major hotels and blue chip company's in Midlothian. We also carry out work for Midlothian and Edinburgh Council. We also take part in The Midlothian and Edinburgh taxicard scheme.
