For anyone arriving by train, please let us know and we can arrange for collection from the Station. Fernside has a pretty garden and terrace where you can relax. We also have our own private GUEST CAR PARK. Our elegant Victorian DINING ROOM has individual tables and offers a full traditional breakfast menu, individually cooked to order using local produce, with plenty of choice. We welcome families and those who require special diets. Both our LOUNGE & DINING ROOMS are available for hire for private functions. We are able to cater for a wide variety of occasions. Please see the venue page for full details. We offer a choice of superior, double, twin, single and family rooms, plus two ground floor double rooms. All double / Twin rooms are ensuite. The Venue Venue The Fernside Hotel offers an ideal venue for small conferences, seminars, get-togethers and functions, small wedding receptions and parties. Our large lounge is an ideal reception room for all types of gatherings. It is tastefully furnished and can be used either as an informal meeting room, or as a reception room for larger functions. The equally large dining room can seat up to thirty for lunches or dinners, or can be arranged as a meeting room for seminars and small conferences. Both rooms offer an elegant destination for every occasion. We will enjoy helping you create the ideal setting for your function and can assist you in its individual design. We offer a choice of catering options,from a formal dinner to a buffet style reception, or working lunches and light refreshments. Each function and menu will be individually planned with the hotel manager, to ensure you can create the occasion of your choice. We can help you create themed events, with appropriate styling. For example, we can arrange music, balloons or decorations to match your theme. For business functions, we are able to provide flip charts, an over-head projector and internet connectivity. The hotel has its own car park and guests attending functions at the hotel will receive priority booking of the hotel bedrooms. Guests are also welcome to relax in the hotel gardens. We operate a no smoking policy throughout the hotel.
