Brann & Isaacson was founded in the late 1920s by Louis Brann and Peter Isaacson. Since its beginnings, the firm has focused on providing high quality legal service to the business community. In 1932 and again in 1934, Maine voters elected Louis Brann as Governor of the State of Maine. Throughout the 1930s, Peter Isaacson was fast at work reorganizing Maine banks that had closed their doors during the Bank Holiday of the Great Depression.During the last 80 years, Brann & Isaacson has had the privilege to serve as special counsel for a broad range of individuals and companies across the country, successfully representing clients ranging from ground-breaking local entrepreneurs to national agricultural cooperatives, and from pioneering mail order companies to cutting edge Internet service providers. Brann & Isaacson also serves as general counsel for a large number for companies including L.L. Bean, Inc., DeLorme Publishing Company, Inc., Formed Fiber Technologies, and Safe Handling, Inc., as well as representing Maine school districts and municipalities. In this way, Brann & Isaacson has been able to cultivate both a rich Maine practice and a national reputation in the direct marketing industry.
