Hypnobirthing gives mothers and their birth partners the tools to go into their labour and birth being confident and prepared. We practice relaxation techniques using three types of breathing which helps the mothers and this is practiced at every session. We look into the physiology of the female body and the muscles. We spend time discussing the mind and how the subconscious mind works to relax our body and support birth. Hypnobirthing isn't only for what people say is the perfect birth. You can use hypnobirthing to prepare your mind and body for a Caesarean section and to generally feel confident and relaxed towards the birth through your pregnancy. Mothers and partners can begin the course anytime from 24 weeks however, I feel 26-34 weeks is a great time to begin. I am a very relaxed, positive mother of two and love to be able to help mothers feel less worried and actually excited about labour and birth.
