Standing proudly at over 300 years old, our beautiful seven-bedroom Grade Two thatched cottage delightfully blends character with charm. As soon as you pull up on the soft gravel driveway, you and whoever travels with you will look in awe at the sheer beauty of the traditional holiday cottage. Its fairytale-like rounded features, crisp paintwork and bright red door will enchant you from the moment you arrive; with the stunning surrounding gardens making you feel as if you’ve entered your very own magical island.
Park your car on the large secure driveway and enter the cottage and you’ll find everything you need for a perfect English country cottage holiday in Buckinghamshire. The open plan country style kitchen offers a large range oven and all the storage space you need for your stay at this traditional family holiday home. Open the cupboards and you’ll find handy little extras such as cooking oil and kiddie-proof utensils. A modern highchair will also be in the kitchen – so you don’t have to worry about finding space for that in your car boot! For anything you don’t need, there is ample storage space throughout the cottage including a downstairs cloakroom which lies directly off the kitchen.
Leading from the kitchen is a cosy television lounge where you and your family can relax in comfort and enjoy some quality time together in front of the large flat-screen television. With Sky TV readily available, you don’t have to worry about anyone missing out on their favourite shows – everything is waiting for you at our traditional holiday cottage.
But…if you’d rather some total down-time, you can simply walk through to the next room and experience the hypnotic charm of the ‘real fire’ lounge. Perfect for a romantic evening or just for that much needed ‘you time’, the open log fire offers a haven of relaxation and tranquillity. Just imagine completely unwinding in front of the soft flickering flames after a long soak in the quaint bathtub. With its vibrant green grass, sweet trees and designer octagon patio area, our renowned garden is perfect for those summer evening BBQs. You don’t even have to put up with those pesky throwaway types as we will have a fully functional BBQ waiting for you on your arrival. Imagine you and your partner enjoying quality time together in your very own private super garden! Imagine watching the kids happily play on their very own swing and slide as the entire family enjoy a perfect garden party.
