Fashion is a powerful tool to use in raising awareness about controversy that has created a damaging cycle. I am a fashion designer who uses fashion to raise awareness about domestic abuse of all kinds.
I use creative, powerful surface prints that express desired changes to the world, and design my garments. I do this because the world is slowly changing and many individuals are finding it hard to cope with all the changes happening.
I came up with this concept after I helped myself find an escape from daily anxiety, depression and constant fear a failure. When ever i felt lost I looked for motivational phrases or made one up myself and created a stencil and transferred the phrases onto my favorite clothing such as jackets, when I wore the jacket I designed I felt different, it was like the clothing shielded me from all my fears and current emotions that were distracting me from being myself.
Fashion has now become my therapy and it rules my life and guides my thoughts.
