We can offer support for: Anticipatory Grief, Carers, Family Support; Patient Support, Bereavement Support.
Macmillan Support Services offers emotional and social support to adults living in North Tyneside and Northumberland through one to one and group support. Available for people with a cancer diagnosis or life limiting illness and bereaved.
Patients are assessed by a coordinator then support is provided by a volunteer. Support is offered to clients face to face within their own homes or at a community base.
Group, peer support may be offered via a Walk & Talk group or Bereavement groups. We also hold an annual Remembrance service.
Referral criteria: Adults Over 18. Living in, or with a GP in North Tyneside or Northumberland. Any cause of death. Any relationship. No current complex mental health issues. No current alcohol or drug dependency issues. Referral from health professionals. Referral via email, post.
