Award Winning Cottages and Bed & Breakfast in a quiet unspoilt valley in the North York Moors National Park just eight miles from the coast and Whitby. Red House Farm is located in Glaisdale Dale just 400m from the village of Glaisdale and consists of a group of buildings dating from the Mid 17th century. We no longer operate as a farm but do run a smallholding and have Longhorn cows, hens, ducks and have the occasional pony running around but no tractors or modern farm buildings. There is excellent walking from the doorstep, a bridleway which is featured in several books runs through our property and Wainwright's coast-to-coast footpath runs within a ¼ mile of the farm. The Heritage Coast walk is just a short drive away. There is a pond on the property which is deep (but fenced and gated) so toddlers beware! Older children (and Dad's) seem to enjoy catching the rudd - we have yet to see anyone catch the carp or tench. We also have stabling for up to four horses (depending on the time of year) in addition to three/four ponies and with easy access to the moor, the bringing of ponies is becoming quite popular.
