About Us Roy Pierce Joinery is very much a family business. Roy has been in the joinery trade for the last 47 years, starting his apprenticeship, City & Guilds, with a building company in High Wycombe. He had his own business at the age of 23, making stereo speakers and working on extensions for local builders. Moving to the Cotswold in 1976 with his family, and working again for a local building firm. But went on again to start up himself in 1988 in Oxford, when the firm closed. Derek joined Roy in 1992, when he came in to collect some windows and said he thought he could do this and he has been with us ever since. Our youngest son Leon joined us in 1994 wanting a change from cabinet making and our oldest joined us in 1995 after being a Blacksmith for several years. Leon has moved onto being a manager of another company and is doing very well. Derek and James are still very much part of the team with Roy. We moved from Iffley Rd in Oxford to Wharf Farm in Cassington, just outside Eynsham in 2005, to bigger premises and easier traveling times to work and back, Margarette (Roy's Wife) joined the team at Wharf Farm, once the office was complete in 2006 taking care of all the administration here instead of from home.
