She was certified as a specialist in the field of family law by the California Board of Legal Specialization in 1990 and also practices in the areas of estate planning, and probate and estates administration and litigation. She also handles guardianships and conservatorships. She has authored numerous articles on toopics of interest in the field of family law, including articles pertaining to tax aspects of divorce and estate planning. She also has authored and testified many times before the California Legislature with regard to family law and probate legislation. She has been a member of the firm since 2006. Katherine is a graduate of UCLA and Southwestern Law School and speaks Mandarin Chinese.Drorit Bick Raiter is our newest associate to join the firm of Cooper-Gordon LLP. She is a graduate of Loyola Law School and had been working for our firm as a law clerk and administrative assistant while she waited for the bar results. She is eager to assist us and our clients by interfacing between the clients and partners, drafting legal documents and researching the law. She is recently married and speaks fluent Hebrew.Yana Rozovskaya has been a licensed family law paralegal for many years and joined our firm in 2007. She is invaluable as a case manager and office assistant as well as unequaled in her skill at keeping the practice running efficiently. Yana also speaks fluent Russian.Christine Donald is also a legal assistant to the attorneys in our firm. She came to California from Glasgow, Scotland and has been working for Cooper-Gordon LLP for over twenty years. Christine is an integral employee of the firm. She has been highly praised by our clients in how she handles their matters. Christine is Avery Cooper's invaluable assistant and worked with him for many years when he was a sole practitioner.
