About Us As President and Founder of Panther Taekwondo Black Belt Academy, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to learn about Panther Taekwondo. This art is the culmination of a lifetime of studying and teaching martial arts nationally and internationally. My observations and firsthand experience with traditional martial arts sports martial arts and personal protection, has motivated me to create an advanced form of exercise, self-defence training, and a means towards realizing one's highest mental and physical potential. We are dedicated to providing a safe and family-oriented Martial Arts experience for students of all ages. Our mission is to foster self-improvement and personal development through focused training. We promote physical fitness and positive social interaction in a courteous and fun atmosphere. Our greatest responsibility is to instil in our students a sense of discipline and a code of ethics to inspire them to lead exemplary lives as leaders in the community. Students and enthusiasts of Taekwondo have many reasons for their interest in this and other martial art styles. Some are drawn to the physical fitness and weight-loss aspects of training. Others seek to add discipline and self control to their lives, while still others are concerned about safety and self-defence. Whether you are interested in our programs for mental or physical well being, Panther Taekwondo Black Belt Academy offers a program that will fit your developmental needs and your busy schedule. I am sure that with time and dedicated training, you will find the benefits from your commitment to Panther Taekwondo to be great and the rewards many. Our Program Our Introductory Program gives you two semi private Taekwondo lessons. This is a great opportunity to try out our program and learn about Taekwondo. If you think you might feel uncomfortable starting a Taekwondo program don't worry. Many other people have felt the same way. We found that our private introductory program makes it possible for you to attend classes more comfortably by knowing what will happen in class and being able to perform some basic techniques. What you will learn: Our introductory instructor will teach you basic punches, kicks and blocks. They will explain proper form and practice with you. We will teach you about the values of Taekwondo. Parents will learn how Panther Taekwondo classes are structured and how instruction and correction are used to educate the student. Who will attend: Our introductory program is design to expose the student to this martial art. It is important that both parents (of students under 18 yrs.) attend if possible .Having family support allows students to feel comfortable and also encourages the student to succeed. We encourage you to bring a friend or family member to participate in the lesson if it will make you feel more comfortable. Arranging Introductory Lessons: To book your lessons call Panther Taekwondo on +44 (0)20 8813 0079. Our introductory lessons are by appointment only so please call ahead. Please give us a quick courtesy call if you are unable to attend a scheduled lesson. Your first lesson will last about 30 minutes. Joining Joining is easy. We teach children from 7 years old with no age limit! Seminars, courses and gradings are held throughout the year. Club Membership and Insurance a must. Grading and Licence Book provided.
