When you’re looking for a traditional, local pub restaurant in Oakthorpe, look no further than the Shoulder of Mutton for delicious food and drink served with a smile. We have been running the pub for over 19 years, however the building itself has been in use for over 233 years, giving it a cosy and traditional feel and atmosphere. Why not pay us a visit and try some of our delicious real ales and freshly cooked food.

We have a range of guest ales and real ales available which constantly change to offer new tastes and experiences, plus an extensive wine list for the wine lovers out there.

If you enjoy the traditional pub games, come along for a friendly game of dominos, darts, pool etc. Our 'locals' will make you feel most welcome and invite you to play!

We are based in the middle of the National Forest so if you are out walking or driving through, call in and have a drink and/or a bite to eat and a friendly chat. Well behaved Dogs are most welcome in our bar area so bring them along for a drink too!
