History
Metasphere has been involved in the remote monitoring and control business for over thirty years; improving process efficiency, reducing costs, enabling our customers to meet regulatory requirements and implementing some of the most innovative solutions that integrate telemetry with business systems.

Customers
From major utility companies to small independent organisations – what our customers have in common is the need to effectively and efficiently manage their assets. What we do to enable this is provide them with extensive telemetry functionality with unparalleled reliability and scalability.

We have implemented large scale telemetry systems for a wide range of utilities’ customers in the oil and gas (Shell Chemicals, Transgas, Transco), water (Anglian Water, Sydney Water, Yorkshire Water) and electricity (Scottish Hydro, Societe Nationale Electricite et de Thermique) sectors in the UK, Europe and Australia. For those customers without a large supporting infrastructure, or the resources to maintain a telemetry system, we provide a bureau service.

Established
Metasphere has supplied over 40,000 Remote Telemetry Units (RTUs) to customers, including the first single board RTU on the market. The company was one of the founder members for the development of the WITS protocol and was instrumental in developing the software.

Research and Development
Metasphere invests as much as a quarter of its annual turnover on research and development. In order to stay at the forefront of our industry, we actively look for better ways of doing things, train our staff to excel, look for alternative processes and search for creative ways of developing new and exciting products and services for our customers.
