The leading school apprenticeship programme supporting schools to employ support staff apprentices The National School Apprenticeship programme supports schools to build capacity by employing apprentices in staff support roles.
As part of the programme, we recently launched the ‘One by 2020' campaign for every school in England to employ an apprentice by 2020.
The Government want the public sector to play a role in meeting their target of 3 million new apprentices by 2020. Schools have the opportunity to play a key part in this drive and most schools, including local authority maintained and multi-academy trusts will be expected to contribute. NST are well placed to help guide schools through the process of recruiting, training and supporting apprentices.
