Quality Standard Award (QS-Award) is the first and most prestigious award in Quality Standard context in Pakistan since their launch in 2010.

In view of sweeping changes in technology and trade of today's world, Standardization quality control is more important, the manufacturers need the technical information about the quality and standards for export/ import items so that they could stand and compete not only in Pakistan but in the foreign market too. Standards and quality are very important as they give both, consumers and the relevant government authorities, guidelines for Quality Standards Control, and quality Standards assurance. Quality assurance standards are a set of standards that have been chosen and implemented by businesses all around the world because Quality is an essential characteristic feature of any product service or performance, which helps public and private companies to receive universal recognition.

After very successful management of last two Editions of “Quality Standard Awards”, i.e. 1st QS-Award 2010 and 2nd QS-Award 2011 successfully held in 2010 in Marriot Hotel Karachi and 2011 in Ramada Hotel Karachi respectively. The Consumers Eye Pakistan is going to organize consecutive “3rd Quality Standard Award 2012” collaboration with Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority. The mega event of 3rd Quality Standard Award 2012 in celebration of 43rd World Standards Day is to recognize and tribute our quality standard heroes of Pakistan who maintain quality standard and considered to be the leaders of Quality movement in Pakistan hence setting the example for others.

1st Quality Standard Award was established on occasion of 41st t World Standards Day 2010 by The Consumers Eye Pakistan (TCEP) collaboration with Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) Ministry of Science and Technology Government of Pakistan. Award not only boost the image of Pakistani Products & services but to recognize and encourage those individuals, Institutions, Companies, Organization that are maintaining Quality Standard or has ISO/ PSQCA certification in manufacturing or selling standardized products, Ensuring human health and safety, provide thrust to consumer protection as well as consumer satisfaction, are most popular among Pakistani consumers to meets all of their required needs and preferences. This annual award compares well with similar international Standard awards.

Quality Standard Awards (QS-Award) generating interest and involvement of Pakistani Industry and service sector in quality programmes to drive our Products/Brands and Services to higher levels of quality standard and equip our Industry to meet the challenges of domestic and International markets so that Pakistan could move into 21st Century with pride. The “Quality Standard Award” honour outstanding performance in a wide range of categories. With in-depth categories which cover everything in all fields, the Quality Standard Award ensures that achievement in all fields is acknowledged. The Award develops a relationship of trust among consumers, producers, service providers and concern authorities in Pakistan.

The Quality Standard Awards are an annual event. The winners are honored at a grand ceremony where their achievements are highlighted in front of an august gathering of dignitaries and press. The recognized individuals are awarded precious Crystal Trophy and Award Certificate in appreciation of the excellence carried out in their respective categories. All the Award Winners get extensive media coverage, with their names and profiles published through the media. Quality Standard Award is a concept to develop a relationship of trust among consumer’s products and service providers. The trust between the manufactures and the consumers may boost the production, encourages strive for excellence, resulting sound economic footings to the country.

The Government support for The “Quality Standard Awards” has remained unwavering. Dignitaries from numerous ministries and Government offices have consistently shown their support by accepting invitations to address the audience and motivate the winners. Without this support the awards couldn’t have been the success they are.

QS-Award Host “The Consumers Eye Pakistan” is a non profit registered social welfare organization (NGO), for the protection of Consumer rights in Pakistan since 2005. TCEP host seminars and events especially on occasion of World Consumer Rights Day & World Standards Day every year with the collaboration of PSQCA to create consumer awareness against unregistered, Substandard and counterfeit Products and Services. TCEP cooperate with PSQCA to promote Quality Standard Culture in Pakistan.

QS-Award Co-Host “Pakistan Standards & Quality Control Authority” is national standardization body, the biggest contributor of Standards and Quality control activities in Pakistan. TCEP is actively involved with PSQCA in improving quality and standards of the citizens by advocating accountability and code of conduct in government and society, working side by side to promote and serve for standardization and Quality consciousness culture in Pakistan for the benefit of consumers.

Quality Standard Award intends to encourage Pakistani manufacturers and services providing organizations and appreciate their product/ Brands/ Services to strive for excellence in the larger interests of Pakistani consumers that generate interest and involvement of Pakistani Industry and service sector in quality programmes to drive our Products / Brands and Services to higher levels of quality standard and equip our Industry to meet the challenges of domestic and International markets so that Pakistan could move into 21st Century with pride.
