My company, Zaan Photography, is based in Somerset West but I do work all over the Western Cape.

I specialize in jewellery photography. I also shoot weddings / portraits & family / babies & maternity / children & children’s parties / product & commercial photography / interiors and corporate events.

I do studio shoots and on location. The jewellery shoots are done on the premises of the jeweller, so that the expensive pieces don't have to leave the premises.

My photographs have featured in “World of Photography Magazine Volume 2” (2011 – 2012). I have won photo competitions: Cameraclub (October 2011 & February 2012) and Helderberg Photographic Society (August 2011).

After graduating with a Degree in BA Fine Arts (Jewellery Designing) at Stellenbosch University in 2001, I worked in the jewellery industry for 10 years as a designer and diamond grader. As jewellery photography was part of my degree and job description, I realised that there is a big need for high quality jewellery cataloguing in South Africa and especially the Western Cape. I have a keen eye and a lot of passion and enthusiasm for everything that sparkles.

That’s when I discovered my real passion: Photography!
Photography is an absolute passion for me and the lens allows me to look at things from a different angle.
