Die Kirche erhielt ihre jetzige Gestalt 1718. An dieser Stelle stand ein Vorgängerbau, wahrscheinlich aus Holz. Das Äußere ist schlicht, auch der Kirchenraum ist einfach, doch ausdrucksvoll. Die Orgelempore mit geschweiften barocken Balustern trägt die barocke Orgel, ein Werk des Roßdorfer Meisters Joh. Caspar Rommel (ca. 1750), mechanisch, 13 Register, Manual, Pedal, gut spielbar. Der Taufstein von 1567 aus Sandstein aus dem Vorgängerbau trägt die Inschrift: 1567 RAPHAEL AVROCHS HEINRICH FREUND PFARHER. Dazu gehört ein kostbares Taufbecken aus Messing (um 1500) mit der Darstellung der Verkündigung des Engels an Maria. Taufbecken und Taufstein sind bis heute in Gebrauch.Die hölzerne Kanzel (um 1600) ist verziert mit jugendlichen
