Kirche VollersrodaDie Kirche in Vollersroda ist ein relativ großer, wuchtig wirkender Rechteckbau, hauptsächlich von 1775 stammend. Offenbar hat die Kirche einen ins Mittelalter zu datierenden Vorgängerbau, wovon eine kleine gotische Sakramentsnische zeugt. Auf dem Mansardendach erhebt sich auf der Ostseite der Kirchturm, nur wenig höher als das Kirchendach selber. Auch der Taufstein und eine kleine Heiligenfigur sind älteren Datums. Ansonsten erscheint der Innenraum der Kirche dem Besucher in einheitlicher Gestalt, wie sie letztmalig im 19. Jahrhundert umgebaut wurde. Die Ausmalung wirkt düster und ist stark erneuerungsbedürftig. Dennoch hat die Kirche eine besondere Ausstrahlung. Das Dach ist neu gedeckt und die Bausubstanz gut. E
