SUNAPTEIN, Asociación para la Promoción de la Salud Mental SUNAPTEIN es una Asociación de ámbito nacional, recientemente constituida (30 de enero de 2008), que tiene como finalidad general (según sus Estatutos) la de "reunir, reclamar, crear, promover, promocionar, y difundir, cuantos recursos y servicios acerquen la salud mental a todos los individuos sin distinción, así como adoptar las medidas que puedan contribuir a la concienciación social y a la mejora de la calidad de vida…" SUNAPTEIN hace propia, como objetivo, la definición de SALUD aportada por la OMS en 1947: “La salud es un estado de completo bienestar físico, mental y social, y no sólo la ausencia de enfermedad o dolencia”. SUNAPTEIN entiende que la Salud Mental no se puede desvincular de "la Salud", en general, y ésta, a su vez, ha de reivindicarse como parte de los Derechos Humanos fundamentales e inalienables que corresponden a todos los individuos sin distinción.
