Derek Scally began his plumbing apprenticeship in 1998 after completing his Leaving Certificate. Not one for the indoors office type, Derek enjoyed the challenges of learning a first class trade service. He quickly proved his value to his mentor and rose up the ranks becoming an integral part of the team. He also began to develop an interest in overall building construction and in the years to come this would help him expand into building conversions and extensions while expanding his own company’s services.
In 2004 Derek set up his company Derek Scally Heating and Plumbing Ltd and has not looked back since. While developing his company Derek built up a strong team of professionals who are as dedicated to their trade as he is. Rather than accept an outcome, Derek and his team strive to provide a quality service where the best parts and most modern methods are used at all times.
With the expansion of the heating and plumbing service, Derek has also developed his passion for construction and with a team of preferred contractors he has completed numerous renovations and extensions across the Midlands with word of mouth his only marketing median.
Derek and his team work hard to please their customers, listening to their ideas and offering the best advice available to ensure a satisfactory outcome. If the team do not have the right solution to hand, they will work tirelessly to research and solve. This has allowed DS Heating & Plumbing to continue to survive and prosper even through one of the worst recessions Ireland has experienced to date.
