Monte Vista is a 41-bed facility which caters for both rest home and hospital level residents. We can offer you a choice from:• Rest home level• Continuing (hospital level) care• Palliative care• Respite care• We also operate a small retirement village where residents can live independently, but with the security of knowing that support is nearby if needed.Monte Vista is situated near the shores of Lake Taupo, and enjoys panoramic views of the lake and mountains of the Central Plateau, a truly inspiring and rewarding outlook for residents, family/whanau and friends. The view is also the inspiration behind our name, as "Monte Vista" is Spanish for "view of the mountains".The building, interior design and furnishings have been designed and purpose-built for our residents' comfort and enjoyment. The four communial lounges open out to attractive lawns and gardens, which are a delight to our residents who often enjoy a quiet stroll through them.Each resident has an individual room, a large majority of which have a spectacular view over the lake and mountains. The rooms are light and spacious with ample room for your favourite armchair, and we encourage you to make it homely by bringing along your favourite ornaments and pictures to hang on the wall. We want you to feel at home.Monte Vista is Certified by the Ministry of Health to provide age related residential care services under the Health and Disability Services (Safety) Act 2004. Specifically this relates to medical and geriatric services, and is valid for renewal in late 2010.
