The first coat seals the floor and allows the following coats to hold tightly to the timber floor. The next two coats determine the depth and shine of the floor. You can choose between a matt, satin or gloss finish using polyurethane or water based products. The choice you make will depend on the number of people living in the home, if there are children and/or animals in the home, other colour schemes in the home and the amount of sunlight exposure to the floor.
