Ngaroto Nurseries was established in 1973 by the present owner/occupier Gloria Graydon. The nursery is sited on 4 hectares of lands with views over the surrounding farms and out to Mt Pirongia. The nursery has grown steadily over the past 28 years having 4 propagation houses, 7 tunnel houses, shade houses, numerous growing on-line beds and four blocks of container plants as well as a small open ground growing area. The garden has been develop over the past 7 years from rows of 'mother' plants to display gardens. Our cutting material is still gathered from these gardens as well as the public being able to wander through them.We also contract grow for other people - be they the public who have a particular plant they would like to have propagated from, through to commercial growers who provide their own cutting material. Ngaroto Nurseries Ltd. has a team of dedicated staff, many of whom have been with the nursery for many years. Our longest serving staff member has been with the nursery for over 20 years.
