The Municipality is located approximately 40.3 kms. southwest of Cebu City and is known to be the gateway to the South and Southwestern part of the Island of Cebu. It is bounded on the North by the Municipality of San Fernando; on the South by the Municipality of Sibonga; on the West by the Municipalities of Barili and Aloguinsan; and on the east by Bohol Strait.
