The full name of the Visitationist Church (in Polish "Kosciol Wizytek") is the Church of St. Joseph of the Visitationists. The late-Baroque church is located at one of the main thoroughfares of Warsaw - Krakowskie Przedmiescie Street. It is one of the most notable rococo churches in Warsaw, its construction was begun in 1664 and completed in 1761. The interior is in Baroque style with rich Rococo decorations. It features an impressive pulpit in a shape of boat. There are also numerous sculptures and paintings by Polish, Italian and French masters. It also boasts an exceptional tabernacle, which was donated to the church by Queen Marie Louise Gonzaga de Nevers in 1654. Another notable fact about the church is that Fryderyk Chopin used to play the church organ here during services for schoolchildren.
