Kay's Counselling Counselling is a unique tool to help people who want to help themselves - you need to have to want things to change, even if it's a very small thought/feeling/hope you have, this is enough to make a positive start. Counselling helps you to see the things you don't see, it's like seeing something with a fresh pair of eyes. Counsellors can see things that you wouldn't normally see (fresh pair of eyes) Counselling helps you to see these things and explore them. Feelings are an important part of this, acknowledging how you feel is important, so you can express it in the best possible way (which isn't detrimental to you or others) learn how to cope with feelings. It's there to help/support you to be in a place where you want to be. I'll be there support you through the whole process of Counselling, as time goes on we can uncover the issue (doesn't mean we have to deal with everything) but deal with the issues that are bothering you or causing you concern. Therapy is about you, what you want to deal with, how you want to proceed, what pace you want to work at, it's about what's in your best interest. It's about you.
I also have a very unique Counselling room as well. The way I look at it is - your paying for a service, the environment you're going to tell your secrets/concerns/worries out in, should be: comfortable, warm and welcoming and I wanted to ensure that every effort was made to make Kay's Counselling a unique experience for you. As I'm based in the Jewellery Quarter - it's easily accessible by public transport, the metro stop is 5 minutes walk away, I'm based right next to Soho road and it is a 10 minute bus journey from the city centre, we have the number 8 bus which stops outside our building! There's also parking spaces right outside which costs 80p per hour :) I also understand it's not always possible to make your way into a certain area to have therapy - especially if you're busy :) which is why I also offer online video therapy! You can then have therapy wherever you feel comfortable, even without leaving your home!
