Welcome to The Brandy House ~ Superb bed and breakfast and self catering holiday cottages. Once a 150 acre hill farm, The Brandy House is now an idyllic smallholding of 10 acres in an elevated and sheltered position with wonderful views of the Upper Teme valley in rural Mid Wales. Richard and Medina invite you to stay with them in their traditional old stone farmhouse & converted barns, and enjoy the unspoiled beauty of the undiscovered Radnorshire & Shropshire borderlands...an area steeped in history, myth and legend. Our bed and breakfast facilities and self catering holiday cottages provide the perfect choice for touring the length and breadth of Wales and its English borders. Whatever you choose to do whilst with us, we offer modern standards of comfort in a beautiful & traditional setting, with a choice of twin, double, four-poster or family rooms. The cottage, beautifully converted from a traditional stone barn, has its own secluded garden including patio and a charming terraced area. Thoughtfully decorated and furnished to a high standard, the interior is enriched with many exposed stone walls and traditionally made oak ledge and brace doors. Uniquely designed to be used as either two or three bedroomed, it is self-contained and has oil-fired central heating and double glazing throughout. Stay with Your Horse at The Brandy House! Whether you are interested in long-distance trail riding, endurance riding or simply exploring the beautiful countryside with your own horse, the Brandy House is the perfect choice for both human and equine guests. Medina rides the area and we are happy to help you plan your riding. An ever-growing collection of routes awaits you with miles of off-road riding. It can be wild but is not rugged. We have two bridle-paths passing through our holding that take you up onto Beacon Hill, a 5000 acre wild moorland Crown Estate. You can ride to the trig point on the top which is at a height of 1796 ft (547m). The tracks tend to be good and offer lots of opportunities for long canters and gallops across flat-topped hills, though it is hilly and there are some steep routes. You do need to feel comfortable with a map and a compass, as many of the routes are not way-marked and you may very well ride all day without meeting anyone else!
