There is no substitute for the intensity of the effect produced by the passage of sunlight through coloured glass; a piece changes the space it inhabits completely. Add to that the subtlety and individuality of hand made glass and you have a unique and ever changing 'event' going on under your eyes. My particular interest is in how seasonal changes in daylight affect the experience of the work. Although it is the tangible object that creates the experience, its value for me lies in the intangible, that is, in its effects. Interior/exterior, there's really no limit to the changes that can be made in an environment by light modulation.
