German cockroaches or Oriental cockroaches. German cockroaches are smaller, can climb walls and are a brown colour. Oriental cockroaches are bigger and are a darker black colour. However they have trouble climbing walls. The most common wasp in England is aptly named the common wasp or vespula valgaris as it is known in Latin. They will normally nest in an attic or wall cavity and you will usually only see the signs of entry rather than the nest itself. Some sites will only need one of the above where as others may need a combination of the above.
