This area is at the centre of the luscious Yorkshire Dales National Park and is simply beautiful and just waiting to be explored. From towns and villages that dot the countryside, to historic sites, stately homes, attractions and breathtaking scenery, there is an abundance of activities to fill every day of your holiday, including simply enjoying the atmosphere here at The Fountain. The Fountain was built in the late 17 th century as a coaching inn that offered respite for weary travellers who passed through the busy market town of Hawes. Toady, we still offer the same warm welcome, comfortable accommodation (though with a lot more facilities!) and excellent food but without the tethering posts for horses and carriages & private parking instead. With 11 en-suite bedrooms fully equipped with all you could need and then some, The Fountain is the perfect place to stay and North Yorkshire the perfect destination. We welcome parties, families and couples and although our standards are high, we offer exceptional value for money. Many of our guests have become 'regulars' who return year after year for our hospitality and the way the area puts them in a holiday mood.
