Ladies first: Dallas King:

She worked as a class A stripper (commonly called a "headliner") in some of the finest strip clubs in the big cities. She was the only performer who could perform a "strip" while actually crawling all over a simple four legged chair, which she dragged out onto the stage with her. A very simple, light-weight wooden chair. Now, that requires a tremendous amount of balance, combined with intense sexual grace. IF THAT CHAIR ROCKED OR TIPPED, it would destroy the act. Combine the finest legs and all the rest....and you have a mesmerized, and very silent, audience! I ran the colored spot lights as she performed.

You might think these "strip-tease" acts are fun. They are not. The women are generally soaked with sweat as they gather their clothes and wave goodbye to the applause. They suffer tremendous muscle cramps, and before mirrors at home, perfect the musical-timing moves with the sincerity of an olympic beam walker! Oh, and smile while it is done, or be replaced by someone else who can convince the (sometimes insulting) audience they are really only having FUN out there!

They're NOT having "fun". It only appears that way. Strippers are generally in a fair amount of pain, while they "dance"; doing contortions akin to Yoga. All the while trying to stay in time with the music they chose for their "act"; all backed up with hours and hours of "mirror work" at home. It LOOKS like fun. It is NOT fun! But, that's the ILLUSION; you see!
So while we're on the subject of ILLUSION....

She then went on the road with the carnival. She starred as the beautiful "Headless Woman" (replete with occasional hand movements and leg crossing) and the act of "No Middle Myrtle"; another mirror trick that gave the impression she had no "center", shall we say, of her body! That was followed by the famous act of "The Gorilla Girl"; More mirrors and exquisite timing that actually sent patrons panic-scrambling for the tent doors... purposely left wide open for the stampede! This was done with the help of a man dressed in a perfectly convincing gorilla suit, ripping the cage bars apart; as she exchanged positions with him thru a complex of mirrors, and well-rehearsed timing. The audience always panicked, and fled (when the man in the gorilla suit "took over"). The illusion was so perfect, and terrifying, that the exit tent flaps were fastened wide open to prevent possible injury, because the mad scramble of the patrons to exit that "tent" show! Now, one might say she (Dallas King) just "calmed down" now. She is now a songwriter, and a accompanist, for the JACKHAMMER CONSTRUCTION COMPANY (band). -O.K.; that's a "long" name for a band. But it is the only way to describe a band that finds Hate Music unacceptable.

With JACKHAMMER; Cupid's arrow is transformed...into a JACKHAMMER! Cupid now wears a "hard hat", and white Levis, and is here to LOVE, and bring LOVE, in these songs!

Stone Powers:

Now about Stone Powers: He is a Scuba diver (professional) and pilot of a H.D. Panhead for 22 years. He won first prize in Las Vegas with a "Ghost Flame" paint job on a '38 Chevy that changes colors (depending on light angle) using Candies and Pearls. A martial arts instructor, and the lead guitarist, and lead singer, for bands: "Dead on Arrival", "The Sundowners", and "Rythm Incorporated". He owns hundreds of copyrights for his songs, ranging from Rock to Country; Folk to Jazz. His first employment was at Radio Station KAHU as a D.J... 'Listening to too much music. 'Guess that started his engine!

Mici West:

Mici West (guitarist/songwriter & vocalist) for the country bands "Wildwood", "Old Time Fiddlers (which is a joke, because there's no "old" in their show), and many others.

Mici (also Dallas's sister) brings her unique color of voice, and poetry, in her songs: "Freddy Fender Wrote That Song For Me" (cut #7), and "Daddy Doesn't Live Here" (Cut #3). A true slice of Life!
Dallas wrote (cut #5) "Separation" for Mici's failed marriage; now singing together, Sisters "tell it like it is".

Dallas King owns many copyrights (as does, her sister, Mici), performing "Levis and Lipgloss" (on cut #8). The mic she used, was "hot"! The "interview" catching her totally unaware! It (intimately) shows her love for her daughter; the (humorous, yet semi-sweet) change: (of "Bitsy") into the voluptuous woman: "Babbette"! Dallas did NOT want to publish this recording (in this album)......(too late!) Love can be funny!

The other seven songs on this album were written by: Stone Powers. Song #1 "Run That By" describes how Dallas and he met. Stone was that D.J. and Dallas was that Go Go Girl! Word for Word, it happened just like that. "History; an easy thing to pen".
