Connie has trained with world-renowned psychologist Dr. Albert Ellis, creator of REBT (rational emotive behavior therapy) and has studied Virginia Satir's STST (Satir transformation systemic therapy) method, which focuses on helping people in raising their self-esteem, improving relationships and communication by addressing a person's actions, emotions, and perceptions as they relate to a persons dynamic. Connie also is professionally trained and certified in EMDR therapy (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy). Connie strongly believes in trauma therapy, as well as the efficiency of EMDR therapy and uses this extensively in her practice.
