Dr. Daftarian is a cum laude graduate of Texas A&M Class of 2004. He graduated medical school in 2008 from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Tx and subsequently completed his Anesthesiology residency at Boston University in Boston, Ma where he was chosen 'Resident of the Year' 2012. Dr. Daftarian completed his pain management fellowship at the prestigious Texas Tech University, one of the highest rated pain programs in the country. Dr. Daftarian is board certified in Anesthesiology and in Pain Medicine. Dr. Daftarian is an active member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, Texas Pain Society, Texas Medical Association, and the American Medical Association. He was also featured in the American Society of Anesthesiologists' video on 'Awareness under Anesthesia" in 2010. Active in research and publications, Dr. Daftarian has presented at both local and national meetings including the American Society of Anesthesiologists and Texas Pain Society. He also has been voted the Reader's Choice for 'Best Pain Management Physician' in 2016 and 2017 from the Eagle. Dr. Daftarian is educated and experienced in all aspects of pain management, but has specialized expertise in advanced interventional pain medicine including: Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS), Peripheral Nerve Stimulation (PNS), Ultrasound-guided procedures, The Racz Procedure (lysis of adhesions), and fracture repair through kyphoplasty/vertebral augmentation.
