Aditya Derasari, MD is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement surgery and correction of failed joint replacement surgeries. Dr. Derasari also treats arthritis of the hip and knee non-surgically. Dr. Derasari completed his fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery at Houston Methodist Hospital in Texas and his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital/ Jackson Health System. He earned his medical degree from University of South Florida (USF) College of Medicine. As a medical student, Dr. Derasarie was selected to be part of the Howard Hughes Medicine Institute - National Institute of Health Research Scholars Program, spending a year in laboratories at the NIH campus in Bethesda, MD, conducting mentored biomedical research. He also earned the Martin and Ruth Silbiger Scholarship in Research; awarded to a graduating senior who made great contributions to research efforts at the USF College of Medicine.
